Ann Franks is VP, CISO Information Strategy & Security for Ricoh Americas Corporation headquartered in West Caldwell, N.J. In her present capacity, Franks directs information strategy and security for Ricoh Americas. Prior to assuming her current position, Franks served as VP, IT for Lanier Worldwide, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ricoh Corporation, which merged with Ricoh Americas Corporation effective April 2007.
Franks joined Lanier Worldwide in 1979 and has held numerous IT positions throughout her career. In 1995, she joined Lanier's International Division as IT Director for Canada, Central and South America. She relocated to Brussels, Belgium in 1999 to head Lanier Europe's IT organization. Franks was appointed VP of IT in 2004, headquartered in Atlanta, followed by her appointment in 2006 as VP, CISO for the recently merged Ricoh Americas Corporation.
Franks has been an Advisory Board Member for Georgia's CIO Leadership Association (GCLA), a former board member of Technology Association of Georgia and is active in Georgia based nonprofit organizations. She was named the National CIO of the Year in 2005. Franks is a graduate of Georgia State University with a BBA in Computer Information Science.
