For the past 10 years, Brian R. Lurie has served as Vice President, Information Technology at Stryker Orthopaedics, the largest operating division of the Stryker Corporation with more than $5 Billion in annual sales. Stryker Orthopaedics is a global leader in the design, development, manufacturing, marketing, and sales of reconstructive, trauma, and sports medicine orthopaedic products and services specifically for the hip, knee, spine, wrist, craniomaxillofacial, shoulder and elbow.

Lurie provides worldwide IT leadership for Stryker Orthopedics' four international manufacturing facilities and 100+ branch and agency distribution locations. Lurie's teams are responsible for all computer and telephony requirements including application development, infrastructure, information delivery, and IT quality and controls with a core focus on customer satisfaction and response.

In addition to his role at Stryker Orthopaedics, Lurie is a founding member of Stryker's Business Technology Council, a cross-divisional Stryker entity.

Lurie has more than 20 years of increasing experience in the field of information technology and has held a number of key leadership positions over the span of his career. Prior to his current position, Lurie served as the CIO for Penn Engineering and Manufacturing where he managed an international IT staff in corporate, field and consultant positions. He was also responsible for selecting new technology that met the needs of the company's business, which grew at a rate of more than 30% during his tenure.

From 1984 through 1994, Lurie worked for the Unisys Corporation, culminating his tenure as the Bid Integrity Manager for the Tri-State area.

Lurie has received many accolades including the 2008 Top 10 Leaders & Innovators Award and top 100Computerworld Magazine 2009 (due out December 2008).

Lurie is an active contributor to his local community, currently serving as President of the Dellwood Park Civic Association in New City, NY. Lurie also serves on the panel for the Global Technology Confidence Indicators (GTCI), an executive research and analysis unit at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ., and is a Charter Board Member on the Temple University Computer and Information Sciences Advisory Board. Lurie is also an annual technology guest speaker at the University of Pennsylvania.

Lurie received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer and Information Sciences from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA., and conducted post-graduate work at The University of Pennsylvania, Harvard University, and Gallup's Leadership Academy.
